On Monday, 11.11.2019, Lalapasa Union for Delivering Services to Villages held the press conference for the start of the project “CRAFTS/Network for joint initiatives for their protection, promotion and transformation into tourist attractions”, (CB005.2.23.022) funded by the program for Cross-border cooperation Interreg-IPA Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020 in Lalapasa, Edirne
In the press conference participated by morethan 30 journalists and representatives of the media from the region, potential beneficiaries and representatives of the target groups who would have a interest and benefit, to be involved in the project activities, Mr. Mehmet Ali Imrak, the District Governor of Lalapasa and the Chairman of Lalapasa Union for Delivering Services to Villages gave a speech as the legal representative of the Lead Partner, and Mr. Levent Tezcan, a member of project team and the Director of the Lalapasa Union for Delivering Services to Villages, made a presentation on the subject and activities of the project.
The project is implemented by Lalapasa Union for Delivering Services to Villages, as the lead partner in partnership with “Euro Club Woman” from Yambol, Bulgaria under priority axis 2 “Sustainable Tourism”, specific objective 2.3: increasing the networking for development of sustainable tourism through cross-border cooperation initiatives from the second call for projects proposals under the programme for cross-border Cooperation Interreg-IPA Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020.
The main objective of the project is to seek and apply impact on large groups of people, through initiatives for mutual learning and the formation of common interest, to the cultural and historical heritage of the two countries, separated by the border, by building a network Greater impact and conversion of handicrafts and their products into tourist attractions.
