Euroclub Woman, as project partner in the project “CRAFTS – NETWORK for joint initiatives for their protection, promotion and turning them into tourist attractions”, (CB 005.2.23.022), funded by the Interreg-IPA cross-border programme Bulgaria – Turkey 2014-2020, is pleased to invite participants from Bulgaria to take part in the international event of the above stated project – initiative to promote the sustainable use of historical and cultural heritage and resources in the field of crafts in LALAPASA,TURKEY on 16-17.10.2020.
The lead partner of the project is the Union of Lalpasa for providing services in villages, Turkey, and Euroclub Woman is a partner from Bulgaria. The project is implemented under priority axis 2 “Sustainable Tourism”, specific objective 2.3: increasing the networking for development of sustainable tourism through cross-border cooperation initiatives from the second call for projects proposals under the programme for cross-border Cooperation Interreg-IPA Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020.
THE INTERNATIONAL EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN 16-17 OCTOBER 2020 IN THE TOWN OF LALAPASA, TURKEY.
The International initiative will include:
- Seminar part “Crafts in the cross-border region as tourist attractions” on 16.10.2020 – presentation of the historical and cultural heritage and resources in the field of crafts in the cross-border region Lalapasha-Edirne, Turkey and opportunities for their development in the field of tourism.
- Organised visit to key sites in the cross-border region of Lalapaşa-Edirne,Turkey on 17.10.2020, an example of the use of historical and cultural heritage in the field of crafts and their tourism development.
The project envisages that the international initiative will include 40 participants from Bulgaria, representatives of the target group of the project, namely: artisans, amateur craftsmen, representatives of craft associations, experts from the tourism sector, media representatives, citizens and tourists from the cross-border region of Yambol. The costs for organized international transport, organized accommodation and organized meals for the representatives from Bulgaria are covered by the project budget.
The international event will be attended by at least 40 representatives of the target group of the project from the Lalapaşa region, Turkey. This will provide an opportunity for exchange of experience and discussions between the representatives from Bulgaria and Turkey involved in the event.
The inclusion of those interested participants from Bulgaria in the international initiative will take place in the order: first applied, first included, until the quota of 40 participants is reached.
