On 23.07.2019, there was held the official award ceremony for the contracted projects under the second call for proposals under the Interreg-IPA cross-border programme Bulgaria – Turkey 2014 – 2020, in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works-Sofia.
“EUROCLUB WOMAN” will work within 15 months under the project “CRAFTS/CRAFTS-Network for joint initiatives for their protection, promotion and transformation into tourist attractions” (No CB 005.2.12.022), as a partner organisation from Yambol, Bulgaria. The leading partner of the project is the Union of Lalpasa for providing services in villages, part of Governorship administration of Lalapasa, Turkey. The project is under priority axis 2 “Sustainable tourism”, specific objective 2.3: Increasing networking for development of sustainable tourism through cross-border cooperation initiatives. The project is financed under the Interreg-IPA cross-border programme Bulgaria – Turkey 2014 – 2020.
The main objective of the project is to apply impact on large groups of people, through initiatives for mutual learning and the formation of a common interest in the cultural and historical heritage of the two countries, separated by the border by building a network, for greater impact and conversion of handicrafts and their products into tourist attractions.
The project activities are diverse, including survey information, publishing of information brochure, trainings, exchange visits, website, production and distribution of promotional materials, international seminars and conference.
